USC's Dalilah Muhammad, Michael Norman Advance To Finals At World Athletics Championships

Dalilah Muhammad in the women's 400m hurdles and Michael Norman in the men's 400m both advanced to event finals during the sixth day of the 2022 World Athletics Championships held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. today (July 20). 

  • Dalilah Muhammad (USC, 2012) won her women's 400m hurdles semifinal heat with a season-best time of 53.28 to automatically advance to the event final on July 22.  Amalie Iuel (USC, 2017) placed sixth in the third semifinal with a time of 54.81 and finished 15th overall.
  • Michael Norman (USC, 2019) won his men's 400m semifinal heat with a time of 44.30 to automatically advance to the final on July 22.
  • Nicole Yeargin (USC, 2021) placed fourth in her women's 400m semifinal with a time of 51.52 and finished 14th overall.

Trojans scheduled to be in action tomorrow include: Aaron Brown (M-200m final), Jordan Scott (M-TJ).
