Incoming Sun Devil Triathlete Naomi Ruff Wins US Junior Nationals Race

Westchester, Ohio – Sun Devil triathletes Naomi Ruff, Faith Dasso and Madison Judas raced in the 2022 Junior National Championships the final weekend of July. The trio of freshmen finished in the Top-10.

"I'm incredibly proud and excited about how our incoming freshmen performed at Junior Nationals," assistant coach Nicole Welling said. "We can't wait to welcome this strong class to the team." 

Ruff, an Illinois native, claimed the 2022 Junior National Champion crown with an overall time of 1:03:22 and an average pace of 6:04. 

Three spots behind in fourth was Dasso, who completed the event in 1:04:14. Judas crossed the line at 1:05:52 for seventh place.

Sun Devil Triathlon will compete in its first race, America's Cup, September 23.
