TYLER, TEXAS – UCLA receiver Kam Brown, a native of Colleyville, Texas, was named Tuesday to the tenth annual Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List which was announced at the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and SPORTyler Annual East Texas Kick-off Luncheon.      Brown, who attended Colleyville Heritage HS, appeared in all 12 games for the Bruins in 2021 and made eight starts in his first season on the field following his transfer from Texas A&M. He made a season-high five catches for 111 yards and a touchdown in a game against Fresno State. Brown totaled three catches each in Pac-12 Conference contests at Washington, versus Oregon and at USC. For the year, Brown averaged 14.5 yards per catch on his 17 receptions.

The non-profit helps to encourage student-athletes to succeed both on and off the field.
Each week during the season, an Earl Campbell Tyler Rose National Player of the Week will be selected leading up to the announcement of finalists in December. The selection committee is comprised of Texas-based journalists and college football dignitaries and each of the past winners. The committee will narrow the field to up to 16 semifinalists in November, and up to five finalists in December. The recipient of the award will be announced in January of 2023. The 2022 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recipient and finalists will be recognized at the gala announcement to be held January 11, 2023 in Tyler. The winner will receive a unique trophy sculpted by noted artist Ken Bjorge. The winner's name will be permanently added to the base of the original trophy which is on display in Tyler.
