Beavers Welcome 21 Newcomers to Cross Country/Track & Field Program

CORVALLIS – Oregon State cross country and track and field welcomed 21 new faces to the program, 18 freshmen and a trio of transfers.
 
Eleven of the incoming athletes hail from Oregon with three coming from Washington and representatives from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado Idaho, Montana and Utah as well. The 18 incoming freshmen combined for more than 20 top-10 finishes at state championships with several state championships.
 
"This particular recruiting class has been constructed as a direct reflection of our competitive improvement as a program. This year, more than any other recruiting year, has attracted several state champions and nationally ranked athletes across all event disciplines," said head coach Louie Quintana. "Without question, our staff worked tirelessly to put this group together and we know that the incoming student athletes are excited to make their mark on the rise of this program."
