Beavers Set to Start 2022 Campaign

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's soccer team will commence the season with a pair of home matches: a Thursday evening clash with Eastern Washington at 6 p.m. and a Sunday match versus Wyoming at 1 p.m.
 
Last Season
The Beavers etched an 11-7-1 mark in Lauren Sinacola's first season at the helm of the Beavers, highlighted by six wins at Lorenz Field and a road win at seventh-ranked Stanford. Three of the four returning scorers – McKenna Martinez, Amber Jackson and Sophie Conrad - will lead the Oregon State attack. That trio accounted for a combined for 50 points in 2021. Martinez's 12 goals and four assists paced the Beavers' offense. Jackson followed with 13 points behind five goals and helping on three others. The duo of Martinez and Jackson accounted for six game-winning scores in 2021. In net, Hailey Coll stopped three shots in 68:23 of action.
 
Last Time Against Eastern Washington
Oregon State and Eastern Washington last met in 2005, a 2-0 win in Corvallis.
 
Scouting Eastern Washington
The Eagles will open their season against the Beavers on Thursday.
 
During the preseason, Eastern Washington capped off an undefeated record after clean sheets against the University of Calgary and Yakima Valley Community College. The Eagles are led by Madison Kem and Maddie Morgan.
 
In 2021, Eastern Washington finished with a 5-12 mark with a 3-6 performance in Big Sky competition.
 
Last Time Against Wyoming
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Beavers and Cowgirls.
 
Scouting Wyoming
The Cowgirls will open their 2022 slate with a road tilt with Northern Colorado on Thursday. Under the direction of Colleen (Boyd) Corbin, an Oregon State alumna, Wyoming finished its 2021 with an 8-10-1 mark. The eight wins were the most by a first-year coach in Cowgirls' history.
 
Maddi Chance and Haylee Rice combined for four goals in a pair of preseason matches. Wyoming was picked to finish ninth in the preseason in the Mountain West.
