Fifth-Ranked Men's Soccer Opens Season
CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The fifth-ranked Oregon State men's soccer team will look to build on last year's success as they open the season Thursday night at Paul Lorenz Field.
Coming off a Pac-12 championship and an appearance in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament, the Beavers will welcome UC Davis and Utah Valley for their first two matches of 2022.
For the first time in program history, Pac-12 coaches picked the Beavers to finish atop the standings in the annual preseason poll. Oregon State claimed two of the five available first-place votes.
Oregon State will face UC Davis at 7 :30 p.m. on Thursday and Utah Valley on Monday at 6 p.m.
SCOUTING UC DAVIS
The Aggies will open their 2022 slate against the Beavers on Thursday night. In 2021, UC Davis' season ended in an overtime defeat at the hands of UC Santa Barbara after a 9-10-1 record.
