USC Football Moves Up To No. 7 In AP Top 25 Rankings

Sep 11, 2022

LOS ANGELES — USC Football moved up three spots to No. 7 in this week's AP Top 25 Poll released on Sunday.

It is the Trojans' highest AP ranking since the Oct. 1, 2017 poll when USC was ranked No. 5. The Trojans (2-0, 1-0 Pac-12) defeated Stanford on the road, 41-28, on Saturday in new head coach Lincoln Riley's first conference game with the program. The Trojans scored five first-half touchdowns in the game en route to their first win at Stanford Stadium since 2014.

USC remains as the highest ranked team in the Pac-12. Utah (1-1) dropped one spot to No. 14 and Oregon (1-1) re-entered the poll at No. 25.

The Trojans return to United Airlines Field at L.A. Memorial Coliseum this week to host Mountain West foe Fresno State (1-1), Saturday at 7:30 p.m. PT on FOX. Tickets to the game start at $60.
