USC Cross Country To Compete At The UCR Invitational Saturday

The USC women's cross country team will be competing at the UC Riverside Invitational (6K) to be held on the UCR Agricultural Operations Course in Riverside, Calif. on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7 15 a.m.  The Trojans will host the 2022 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships on this same course on Oct. 28.

Trojans who are scheduled to compete this weekend are Janiah Brown, Isabelle Cairns, Jacqueline Duarte, Vienna Gao, Liyat Kebbede, Mihajla Milovanovic, Brooke Rodi and Lucy Westlake.

USC opened the season by placing third at the Mark Covert Classic (5K) in Brea, Calif. on Sept.3  The third-place finish tied for USC's best since winning the 2016 Pepperdine Invitational.  Westlake led the Trojans at that meet by placing 11th individually.  Duarte and Gao are making their Trojan debuts this weekend.  Duarte is competing as a Trojan for the first time as she missed last season while recovering from an injury sustained during her high school senior season in 2021.

USC's final regular season meet of the season will be the Bronco Invitational to be held in Sunnyvale, Calif. on Oct. 15.
