Oregon State Men’s Golf Opens 2022-23 Season Monday

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team opens the 2022-23 season when the Beavers compete at the Husky Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
 
The two-day event, hosted by Washington, was won by Oregon State's Brandon Eyre last season. The then-freshman opened his collegiate career with a 6-under 138 over the first 36 holes. He shot a 3-under 69 in the final 18 to win the tournament by one stroke.
 
Oregon State finished third as a team.
 
Oregon State's season-opener begins a four-week slate for the Beavers that includes trips to Michigan, New York and then hosting the Oregon State Invitational in Corvallis.
 
FIELD (15): Oregon State, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, San Jose State, Colgate, Utah, Boise State, Seattle, Washington State, Long Beach State, UC Davis, Duke, Saint Mary's and USC.
 
COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-72, 7,155-yard Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton.
 
BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State's contingent will include Carson Barry, Mateo Fuenmayor, Jackson Lake, Collin Hodgkinson and Rylan Johnson. Alfred Raja, Sean Kato, Nolan Thoroughgood, Brody Marconi and Brandon Eyre will compete as individuals.
 
FORMAT: Two-day, 54-hole tournament with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
 
TEE TIMES: Oregon State will tee off starting at 7:15 a.m. on Monday, with the first two rounds – 36 holes – to be played continuously.
