Another Weekend Win

LOS ANGELES - No. 4 Stanford improved to 9-0 on the season, defeating No. 15 Loyola Marymount 11-7 Sunday morning in Los Angeles.

The Cardinal returns home for an action packed weekend Sept. 23-25, hosting the MPSF Invite at Avery Aquatic Center.

The Cardinal grabbed an early 2-0 behind goals from Quinn Woodhead and Jackson Painter, drawing several exclusions from the Lions early on. LMU responded, tying the game 2-2, before Stanford ran off three straight goals. The Cardinal maintained its distance until halftime, holding a 7-4 edge.

LMU showed no signs of quit in the third period, rallying to get within 7-6.

Stanford closed strong, scoring four of the game's final five goals to close out the win. Nolan Krutonog secured 11 saves in victory.
