Relay Meet at BYU Set for Friday for Swim & Dive
SALT LAKE CITY – For the second straight year, the University of Utah swimming and diving team is preparing to tangle with the BYU Cougars, who will be hosting the Utes for an exhibition relay meet on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Richards Building Pool in Provo, Utah.
This meet will be unique from most competitions and will include several 3x150 relays, coed relays and several other events, including a diver's mix relay. This will mark the seventh time in the last eight seasons the Utes and Cougars have gotten together for this event, with 2020 being the only exception.
In the 2021 edition, Utah came out on top in 10 of 15 races, including five-in-a-row to get the festivities started. They also closed the meet by winning the mixed 200 free relay.
Utah's 2022-23 regular season will begin on Oct. 12, when they'll face the California Golden Bears in Berkeley, Calif.
