The Utah men will face competitors from all over the Mountain Region, including Air Force, Boise State, BYU, Denver, Idaho, Montana State, New Mexico State, and Weber State. The action will begin on Friday at 9 a.m. with doubles and shortly after move to singles. Doubles and singles will be played twice on Friday, Sept. 23, and Saturday, Sept. 24. On Sunday, Sept. 25, only one match of singles and doubles will be played.

The Utes Mateo Julio, Bruno Krenn, Charlie Spina, and Dylan Applegate will represent their team at the ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains. For Julio and Applegate, this tournament will be their debut as members of the Utah team.

Krenn and Spina were members of the Utes team last season. Krenn went 14-11 in the spring and played between courts five and six last season. He won six of his last seven singles matches to close out last season. Spina appeared in one fall tournament for the Utes last year as he made his Utah debut at the LMU Invite.

Mateo Julio is a senior from Olavarria, Argentina, who transferred to Utah from Purdue. He has played the majority of matches at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions at Purdue. He advanced to ITA Ohio Valley Quarterfinals during his freshman and junior seasons, and his first ranked win was a 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 win against Michigan's No. 46 Mattias Siimar.

Dylan Applegate is a freshman from Park City, Utah. During his high school career, Applegate played at the No. 1 position for singles. He also led his team to the first Team Championship in over a decade and won the Utah State High School Championships for No. 1 singles during the same season. Reaching a ranking as high as 27 on the UTSA National Standing List, being a four-star recruit, and being ranked in the top three intermountain rankings over the last two years are some more accomplishments Applegate has under his belt.

Following the Bedford Cup, the Utes will compete at the Dar Walters Tournament hosted by Boise State and host its first fall tournament, the Utah Invitational #1. The tournaments will run from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.
