Chirravuri, Nishiba Pacing USC Men's Golf After 36 Holes In Texas

Krando Nishiba carded a season-best 70 today in the second round.

Freshman Mahanth Chirravuri was USC's low finisher while junior Krando Nishiba carded a season-best in his second round to pace the USC men's golf team during a two-round opener at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational on Monday (Oct. 3) at the Colonial C.C. in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Trojans are 16th after the 36-hole first day at 23-over 583 (293-290). North Carolina is first at 10-under.

Chirravuri, who led USC in its previous event in Ohio, again is pacing the Trojan efforts, tied for 34th at 3-over 143 (71-72) with four birdies on the day.

Nishiba, in his second start this fall, is tied for 52nd at 5-over 145 (75-70). He had one birdie against one bogey in the second round.

Sophomore Jackson Rivera is tied for 64th at 6-over 146 (72-74), sophomore Gavin Aurilia is tied for 73rd at 9-over 149 (75-74) and Parker Sisk is 80th at 14-over 154 (78-76).

The final round is set for Tuesday. USC will tee off at 8:50a CT.
