No. 8 USC Women's Soccer Falls to Arizona, 1-0
LOS ANGELES – The No. 8 USC women's soccer team fell at home to Arizona on Thursday afternoon, 1-0.
USC falls to 7-2-1 overall and 3-1-0 in Pac-12 play, while Arizona improves to 4-5-2, 1-3-0.
The Trojans gave up the lone goal midway through the second half and were never able to come up with the equalizer despite some quality opportunities. USC had a penalty kick blocked in the 66th minute and couldn't convert several other chances even though they dominated possession throughout the match.
68' – ARIZ: Nicole Dallin (assisted by Megan Chelf, Gianna Christiansen) – Chelf got a pass from Christiansen and popped a bouncing ball into the box where Dallin chipped it over a charging USC keeper.
The Trojans stay home and face Arizona State on Sunday at noon. USC will honor its graduating senior prior to the match with the Sun Devils. That game can be seen live on the Pac-12 Network.
