Duo of Cougar runners compete in LCSC Invite

LEWISTON, Idaho. –   Junior Cooper Cortinas (26:27) and sophomore Isaiah Lowery (26:49) represented Washington State men's cross country at the Inland Empire Challenge on Saturday at the LCSC Cross Country Course.  
 
Cortinas took 42nd overall (26:27) in the men's 8k race at a 5:20 pace.  Lowery claimed 49th in the men's 8k while running a 5:24 pace.
 
 "I thought both Cooper (Cortinas) and Isaiah (Lowery) competed very well and was a nice improvement over their last race in Oregon," said head coach Wayne Phipps

Washington State men's and women's cross country teams jump right back into action racing on Oct. 15 at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Stillwater, Okla.
