Men's Golf Hosts Oregon State Invitational Monday And Tuesday
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State men's golf has returned home, and is set to host the two-day Oregon State Invitational Monday and Tuesday at Trysting Tree in Corvallis.
The Beavers returned home from a two-week trip into the Eastern Time Zone, where Oregon state competed in Michigan and then New York. Both Carson Barry and Mateo Fuenmayor ended the trip with two top-20 finishes over the two-week stretch.
Oregon State is hosting the Invitational for the second consecutive year. The 2021 Beavers finished fourth in a 14-team field. Jackson Lake paced the Oregon State contingent with a 1-under 212, which put him into a tie for seventh. Barry tied for 18th with a 4-over 217.
FIELD (15): Oregon State, Boise State, Cal State Fullerton, Gonzaga, Idaho, Kansas State, Pacific, Sacramento State, Sam Houston State, Seattle U, Southern Miss, Tarleton State, Utah, Utah Tech, Washington State
COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-71, 7,384-yard Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore.
BEAVERS' LINEUP: All 10 Beavers will be competing at the event. Mateo Fuenmayor, Carson Barry, Jackson Lake, Brody Marconi and Sean Kato will comprise Oregon State's team competitors. Collin Hodgkinson, Rylan Johnson, Nolan Thoroughgood, Brandon Eyre and Alfred Raja are competing as individuals.
FORMAT: Two-day, 54-hole tournament with 36 holes Monday and 18 on Tuesday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
TEE TIMES: There will be a shotgun start both days of the tournament, starting at 8:15 a.m. PT.
