Oct 11, 2022

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Mateo Fuenmayor finished at par in the final round of play at the Oregon State Invitational and ended the 54-hole event in second with a 3-under 210. He paced the Oregon State contigent, which saw the Beavers finish tied for sixth.
Fuenmayor shot under par in each of the first two rounds (70, 69) before landing four birdies in the final round of play. The second-place finish marked his highest career placement and his second top-10 outing.

"I'm excited for Mateo and his play this week," Oregon State head coach Jon Reehoorn said. "After the Husky Invitational, Noah (Goldman) and I challenged him to just be better in everything he does. Since then, he has done an awesome job in Michigan, New York and here. It's awesome to see him respond like he has. He's just beginning to reach the potential as a golfer. I'm excited for him and his future."
