Women's Basketball Announces Pac-12 Slate

SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's basketball program announced its full 2022-23 schedule Monday, featuring 15 regular-season games in the Jon M. Huntsman Center. All 18 Utah's regular-season Pac-12 games will be featured on Pac-12 Networks. The schedule was finalized as the Pac-12 Conference announced its full league slate.
 
The Utes will open the season on Thursday, Oct. 27, with their fifth annual Future-Scholars game against Northwest Nazarene, with tip happening at 11 a.m. This will be one of two exhibition games on the season. Utah will host Westminster for its second exhibition contest on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

During the 2021-22 season, head coach Lynne Roberts led the Utes to a 21-win season for the first time since 2018-19, and the 29th 20-win season in program history. The Utes advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011 after making an incredible run in the Pac-12 tournament, winning three games in three nights to earn a spot in championship game for the first time in program history.
 
Utah was the highest-scoring team in the Pac-12 (17th NCAA), averaging 75.9 points per game, which is the fourth-highest figure in school history and the highest since 1980-81. Utah also led the Pac-12 in three-pointers made (7th NCAA; school-record 312), three-point attempts (7th NCAA; 876), assists per game (39th NCAA; 15.3), free throws made (18th NCAA; 469), and free throw attempts (43rd NCAA; 602).

The first televised game for the Utes will be Wednesday, Nov. 16, when they host Oklahoma at the Jon M. Huntsman center. The contest will be aired on the Pac-12 Networks and tip at 7 p.m. MT. The last non-conference game on the Pac-12 Networks will be Utah's contest against Southern Utah on Thursday, Dec. 22. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
 
The Utes open Pac-12 play at home on Dec. 14 when they host Colorado. Following the Colorado contest, Utah returns to non-conference action. After an 11-game non-conference slate that closes with Southern Utah, the Utes close out the 2022 calendar year by traveling to Washington State and Washington. The Utes will take on the Cougars on Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. MT and open the new year on New Year's Day against the Huskies at 1 p.m. MT.

Utah remains on the road on Friday, Jan. 6, when they head to Boulder, Colo., to face Colorado at 7 p.m. MT. Following three straight road contests, Utah returns to the Jon M. Huntsman Center to host Arizona State and Arizona. The Utes will take on Arizona State on Friday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m. MT, followed by a Sunday, Jan. 15 matinee matchup against Arizona at 12 p.m. MT.
 
After hosting the Arizona schools, the Utes hit the road to go to the Bay Area to face Stanford and California. On Friday, Jan. 20, Utah travels to Stanford for a 7 p.m. MT tip. They close that trip with a 5 p.m. MT tip against California on Sunday, Jan. 27.
 
Utah will alternate home and road games every other weekend for the remainder of the season. In late Jan., the Utes host USC and UCLA. The Utes take on USC on Friday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. MT and host UCLA on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 12 p.m. MT.
 
Following a two-game road trip to the Oregon school, where Utah faces Oregon State on Feb. 2 and Oregon on Sunday, Utah hosts Washington and Washington State. Utah will take on the Huskies on Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. MT while hosting the Cougars on Feb. 12 at 12 p.m. MT.
 
NBA All-Star Week sees both men's and women's programs on the road at the Arizona schools as Utah will take on Arizona (Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. MT) and Arizona State (Feb. 19 at 12 p.m. MT).
 
The Utes close the regular season by hosting California and Stanford. The Utes take on the Golden Bears at 5 p.m. MT from the Jon M. Huntsman Center on Thursday, Feb. 23, before closing the regular-season against Stanford on Saturday, Feb. 25 (12 p.m. MT).
 
The 2023 Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament, presented by New York Life, is scheduled for March 1-5 at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
