Lindsay's Homecoming Highlights #NFLBuffs Week 5

BOULDER- Week five of the NFL season provided another week for Colorado Alumni to hit the turf, as well as a homecoming for one particular former Buffalo. Phillip Lindsay made his debut for the Indianapolis Colts this week as he was able to come home to Denver and play in front of his former team, the Broncos. Lindsay had friends and family in attendance as he had 54 yards from scrimmage and his team took home the victory on Thursday night.

Here is what happened with all other Buffs across the NFL:

  • Chidobe Awuzie: Starting against the Ravens on Sunday night football, Awuzie surpassed 300 career tackles, getting six total tackles to put him at 303 on his career. The Bengals were not able to complete the victory in Baltimore, losing 19-17.
  • David Bakhtiari: Made his third start of the season as the Packers played the Giants in the NFL's second game of the season in London. Bakhtiari played in 40% of the team's snaps as the packers fell to the New York Giants.
  • Mason Crosby: Crosby had continued success coming off his game winner in week four, as he made both of his field goals with a long of 48 yards. Crosby has made all six of his field goals and all 11 of his extra points so far this season.
  • Nate Landman: Playing in consistent snaps on special teams, also getting 10 defensive snaps as the Falcons fell to the Buccaneers 21-15.
  • Phillip Lindsay: After being pulled up from the Practice squad before the Colts travelled to Denver, Lindsay made his debut for Indianapolis in front of his hometown crowd. Lindsay gained 40 rushing yards on 11 carries as well as three catches for 14 yards as he helped the Colts to beat the Broncos 12-9.
  • Josh Topou: Topou made the start for the Bengals, and had four total tackles on 46 defensive snaps in Cincinnati's loss.

Isaiah Oliver (Falcons), Laviska Shenault (Panthers), and Ahkello Witherspoon (Steelers) did not play in week five due to injury.

Arlington Hambright (Colts), Will Sherman (Broncos), Davion Taylor (Eagles), and Juwann Winfree area all on their team's practice squads.
