Beavers Set to Take on No. 1 Washington Friday at Lorenz

THE GAME: The Oregon State men's soccer team will face another ranked opponent Friday, when No. 1 Washington visits Lorenz Field on Friday.

- Clarence Awoudor was named Pac-12 Player of the Week this week, and was tabbed to the College Soccer News Team of the Week.
- Javier Armas was named Pac-12 Player of the Week and College Soccer News National Player of the Week on Sept. 26.
- The Beavers are coming off the best season in program history, as they went 14-2-4, won the Pac-12 and entered the NCAA Tournament as the No. 1 overall seed.
- Oregon State made the final eight of the NCAA Tournament last season, its deepest run in program history

- Joran Gerbet earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors last season, joining Joe Zaher, Robbie Findley, Danny Mwanga, Timmy Mueller and Sofiane Djeffal as Beavers to earn the honor (Findley, Mwanga, Mueller and Djeffal were all MLS Draft selections following their Beavers careers)
- Nicklas Lund led all Oregon State field players with 1,870 minutes played last season, starting all 20 matches on the OSU back line.
- Javier Armas and Lund are the only Beavers to play every minute in the first eight matches.

The Matchup:
- Oregon State is 17-36-4 all-time against Washington
- The Beavers have gotten at least a draw in three of the last four matchups, going 2-1-1 over that span.
- Washington was also ranked No. 1 in the nation when the Beavers faced the Huskies in Seattle last season, with Oregon State earning a 2-1 victory in the contest.
- The last time OSU and UW met the Beavers clinched the Pac-12 title at Lorenz Field in a 1-1 draw to close out the 2021 regular season.
