Utah Baseball to Visit BYU in Pair of Fall Games

Oct 17, 2022

SALT LAKE CITY and PROVO, Utah – Utah baseball fans can get an early look at the 2023 Utes later this month, as the team is scheduled to take on BYU in a pair of Fall exhibition games on Friday, Oct. 21 (4 p.m.) and Saturday, Oct. 29 (1 p.m.). Please note, the Oct. 21 game was rescheduled from Saturday, Oct. 22 due to inclement weather in the forecast.

Both games will be held at BYU's Miller Park in Provo. Admission will be free for the two games.

Utah made forward strides in 2022, the Utes' first year under the leadership of head coach Gary Henderson. The team opened the season with its best start in the last 40-plus seasons and went on to have a trio of Pac-12 All-Conference performers, headlined by ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove first baseman Alex Baeza in addition to fellow All-Conference honorees second baseman Landon Frei and catcher Davis Cop.

Cop and Frei are among an experienced group of returners for 2023 whom will look to lead a talented crop of newcomers to the ballclub. Fans can view the Fall 2022 roster for the Utes by clicking here.

The 2023 regular season schedule will be announced once finalized.
