Jaydn Ott And Jeremiah Earby have added to their Midseason Freshman All-American honors.

BERKELEY – Jaydn Ott and Jeremiah Earby have added to their honors in their outstanding collegiate rookie seasons by each being selected to a pair of additional MIdseason Freshman All-American teams. Both are on The Athletic's True Freshman All-American Team, while Earby is also on 247Sports' squad and Ott on the team selected by College Football News.

Both were previously selected to On3's True Freshman Midseason All-American Team.

Jaydn Ott, RB, 6-0, 205, Fr., 1st Season At Cal (Chino, CA/Norco HS/Bishop Gorman HS)
— Ranks second in the Pac-12 in rushing yards per game (96.7, #22 NCAA) and third in rush yards per carry (6.5, #15 NCAA), overall rushing yards (580, #29 NCAA) and all-purpose yards per game (116.2, #42 NCAA), while he is tied for fourth in total touchdowns (7, #40T NCAA) and eighth in rushing touchdowns (5, #T63 NCAA)
— Leads all Pac-12 freshmen and ranks among the top freshmen in the country in rushing yards per game (#2 NCAA), all-purpose yards per game (#2 NCAA), overall rushing yards (#2 NCAA), rush yards per carry (#3 NCAA), total touchdowns (#4 NCAA) and rushing touchdowns (#T6 NCAA)
Has PFF's No. 4 "run grade" (89.3) and No. 8 "offensive grade" in the nation among halfbacks through Week 6
— Ranks among PFF's top rated halfbacks in the nation with an 87.6 rushing run grade (#12) and an 84.2 rushing offensive grade (#13)
— Rushed for 274 yards and three touchdowns on the ground against Arizona on Sept. 24 with the rushing yards the second-most in an FBS game this season and the third-most ever by a Cal player to earn Off Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors among others
— Ott's 284 all-purpose yards against Arizona are the most by any Pac-12 player in a game this season
— Ott's three touchdowns against Arizona are tied for the most by a Pac-12 player in a game this season both rushing and overall (his 18 total points also tie for the most)
— Ott had touchdown runs of 73 and 72 in the win over Arizona to become the first Pac-12 player with two runs of 70 or more yards in a game since Colorado's Jarek Broussard in 2020 against Arizona and the first Cal player since Jahvid Best at Washington State in 2008 with touchdown runs of 86 and 80 yards
— Had PFF's top rushing run grade (94.4) and No. 8 rushing offensive grade (91.8) against Arizona with his rushing offensive grade also No. 1 among halfbacks
— Picked up Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors against Arizona as well as in each of the first two games of his Cal career against UC Davis (17-104 rush; 2-26-1TD receiving) and UNLV (7-52-1TD rush; 3-16-1TD receiving)

— Has played in all six games and including his first career start at Washington State
- Co-leads the team with four pass breakups while adding 11 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss (-1 yard) and a memorable diving interception in the season opener and his Cal debut against UC Davis
