Washington Battles To Draw With Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Nate Jones' equalizer in the 86th minutes forced the 1-1 draw with Oregon State on Friday night in Corvallis.
 
With the tie, Washington (12-0-2, 4-0-1 Pac-12) extends its road unbeaten streak to 14 straight matches.
 
Oregon State got on the board in the 34th minute when Luis Castillo sent the ball into the box for Mouhameth Thiam who netted the goal for the 1-0 advantage.
 
Washington was held scoreless at the half for the third time this season.
 
In the second half, the Huskies forced a corner kick that Chris Meyers and hit a perfect shot that landed right at Jones who headed it in to tie the match at one a piece. It was Jones' first goal of the season and Meyer's eighth assist.

The Washington defense was able to limit Oregon State to three shots during the final 45 minutes of action.
 
Up next, Washington heads to the Bay Area of a pair of contests at California on Oct. 27 and at Stanford on Oct. 30.
