Gomez, Ly, Webster Lead Beavers At Stanford Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. – Chayse Gomez, Kyra Ly and Kelsey Webster all carded a 1-over 72 to lead the Oregon State women's golf team in the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate on Saturday.
 
The Beavers remained in a tie for ninth place with a 285-292--577 at the par-71, 6,269-yard Stanford Golf Course through the first 36 holes.
 
Playing on its home course, No. 1 Stanford holds the lead in the 19-team field with an 11-under 276-281--557. Rose Zhang of Stanford has the individual lead with an 11-under 66-65--131.
 
The final round of the three-day, 54-hole tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday with a shotgun start and live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
 
Gomez sits in a tie for seventh place with a 2-under 68-72-140. She's had four birdies in each of the two rounds and is in position for her best career finish.
 
The Yorba Linda, Calif., native finished in a career-best tie for sixth place at the Silverado Showdown last spring where she shot a career-low 5-under 67.
 
Ly and Webster both carded a 1-over 72 for the second-straight round and are tied for 28th place with a 2-over 144.
 
Danique Stokmans is in 71st place with an 8-over 74-76--150 and Amanda Minni is tied for 77th with a 9-over 73-78--151.
