Dasso Finishes Second in 2022 Americas Triathlon Championship

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay – Sun Devil triathlete Faith Dasso finished second in the Junior Elite division of the 2022 Americas Triathlon Championship. She crossed the finish line in 1:06:56 on Saturday morning.

"It's great to hear of Faith's success in South America. She went on a breakaway during her bike and that helped her set herself a part from the other racers," head coach Cliff English said. "I can't wait to see what she has in store for future races."

Dasso, a freshman from New Braunfels, Texas, was a top finisher for the United States. She finished first in the 40-kilometer cycle (15:07) and top-five in the 30-meter swim (15:07)

It's her fifth podium finish and seventh top-10 finish in her last 12 international competitions.

Dasso also represented Team USA in the relay race event in which they placed First.
