WELCOME BACK, RUSS
Russ Critchfield, a 1995 Cal Athletic Hall of Fame inductee and one of the top guards in school history, will return to Berkeley on Wednesday as a second-year volunteer assistant coach on the Chico State staff. Critchfield ('68) was named Cal's MVP three straight years from 1966-68, leading the team in scoring and assists each season and earned first team All-America honors in 1968. He finished his Cal career with 1,437 points (19.4 PPG), becoming just the second player in program history to surpass 1,000. Critchfield was an assistant coach at Cal from 1977-85.

Cal will recognize Critchfield on the court prior to the national anthem. Read more about Critchfield's return to Berkeley here.
