Sophomore Quarterback Bryson Barnes
On his approach this week getting ready for Arizona…
"Same thing as last week. You've got to prepare the exact same way, regardless of whether you're going in or not. You prepare the same way and don't take anything lightly."

On the team's mindset during prep this week…
"We have to just own our 20 square feet and win each and every day. You take those little steps each and every day of the week, it ends up paying off with big dividends when it comes to Saturday. It's taking care of each and every day right now and attacking each day and progressing toward Saturday. Then when Saturday comes, you put those five days of good work in, usually it pays off on Saturdays."

On having Cameron Rising as a mentor…
"You couldn't ask for a better guy to be under (as the backup) to be completely honest. He's a leader. He does things right. He's a great player. Just a great person overall. I couldn't ask for a better guy to be above me right now and learning from."

Senior Linebacker Mohamoud Diabate
On confidence in the team's depth…
"I'm extremely confident. We knew at the beginning of the season when we started camp that we're a really deep team. That's the way we practice. We rotate a lot so everybody has experience. Everybody is comfortable to play when it's their time to play. We feel confident in whoever's out there to do their job and execute."

On what fuels this team's confidence…
"We're just confident because we know who we are. Once you know who you are as a person, as a man, as a team, it's easy to be confident because you know exactly who you are. When adversity comes, whatever comes in front of you, you know how to face it because you're confident and you're secure in who you are as a person and as a team."

On progress the defense is making…
"I feel like we're playing good ball. We had a good game last week. But we just need to keep building on it. We can't think about last week. We need to think about what we need to do for Arizona. Just do the same process, keep trusting the coaches and we'll be OK."

What area do you feel you can build collectively as a team?
"As a team, we can just keep playing better. You can always play better. Just keep getting more confident in your reads. Have better anticipation in what the offense is going to give you. Just those simple things that you keep working at. There's never a point where you're too good. There's never a point where you're like 'we need to get better just at that.' It's a continuous thing in all aspects of the game."

Freshman Running Back Jaylon Glover
On having Bryson Barnes in the huddle at Washington State…
"We're out here Monday through Thursday, Monday through Friday really, and Bryson's in there taking reps. We felt comfortable. He's calling the plays. It really didn't feel as much different as you would think having a backup come through. Bryson's a great leader and he showed that on Thursday."

On Cameron Rising supporting his team during the WSU game…
"That's why we say we're surrounded by great people. You have Cam Rising being one of the top quarterbacks in the nation, cheering his backup on. It's always great to see that camaraderie within the team. There's nothing better than it."

Redshirt Freshman Running Back Ja'Quinden Jackson
On what his next steps are transitioning to running back…
"Just keep working. Just take the advice Coach has been giving me. That's really it."

On being ready for whatever the team needs (RB, QB or otherwise)…
"I play football at the end of the day. I just want to play. That's it."

On whether the game-time decision at Washington State changes how the team operates…
"Not at all. Everybody prepares the same. We were ready from the jump."

Sophomore Defensive Tackle Junior Tafuna
On the defensive line's performance at Washington State…
"The past couple games for us defensively, we didn't play to our best. (Washington State) was a great way to have fun again. Just go back and play assignment-sound football. It was great to play that way. We're going to try to keep that rolling."

On where the line has progressed the most this season…
"I would say getting to the quarterback. That's been the biggest thing for us. We've let a couple slip away, running all over the field. We've had a couple slip-ups, but I feel like on the front…(we're) doing a better job pass rushing, collapsing the pocket, keeping that pressure. Props to our coaches for helping us."
