USC Great Ebony Hoffman Elected to 2022 Southern California Basketball Hall of Fame

Nov 3, 2022

A three-time all-conference honoree at USC, Ebony Hoffman has been elected to the 2022 class of the Southern California Basketball Hall of Fame (SCBBHOF). Hoffman became the first USC player since Cheryl Miller and the first Pac-10 player to ever tally more than 1,500 career points, 1,000 rebounds and 245 steals. Also a WNBA first-round draft pick, she was selected by the WNBA Indiana Fever as the ninth overall pick in the 2004 draft.
The 6-2 Hoffman was a high school All-American for national champion Narbonne HS before attending USC. After a strong pro career, Hoffman has gone into coaching and is currently as assistant coach for the Seattle Storm of the WNBA.

Michael Cooper, who served as USC's women's head coach in 2009 after a NBA career starring with the LA Lakers, was also selected for the class.

Hoffman and Cooper join an elite group of USC men's and women's honorees already in the SCBBHOF, including Cheryl Miller, Harold Miner, Linda K. Sharp, Cynthia Cooper-Dyke, Lisa Leslie and Paul Westphal.
