LOS ANGELES – Anna Dodson scored a career-high 15 kills (.478) to help the UCLA women's volleyball team to a four-set victory (25-21, 25-15, 24-26, 25-18) and season series sweep of Arizona at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom Friday evening.

Dodson's five blocks tonight also secured a career-high 19.5 points. She has hit for double-digit kills in four consecutive matches.

The Bruins (12-10, 6-7 Pac-12) hit for 55 kills at a .328 hitting percentage and served up 10 aces which was their second most in a match this season. élan McCall and Charitie Luper joined Dodson in double-figure kills with 15 and 13, respectively. Setter Matti McKissock racked up 47 assists on 98 of her attempts tonight.

The Wildcats' (13-11, 3-10 Pac-12) Sofia Maldonado Diaz tallied a team-high 13 kills that was negated by nine hitting errors.

Tied 21-21 in set one, Dodson sparked a 4-0 run by banging a kill into the floor. She also put up a block in the flurry of points to hand UCLA the first set victory. Dodson and the Bruins took that momentum into set two as the redshirt junior middle blocker scored a team-high six kills on just eight swings in the frame.

UCLA combined to hit for 13 kills at .400 in the second set, 11 of which were assisted on by McKissock. Four separate Bruins recorded an ace as UCLA took a 2-0 lead.

The service ace was instrumental in the Bruins running away in the last stretch of the fourth set. Dueck, who tied a season high with three aces tonight, pushed UCLA out to a 20-16 lead. Dodson put the finishing touches on her career night shortly thereafter with an ace of her own to make it 23-18.

Next Up: UCLA closes its weekend series against Arizona State on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT in Pauley Pavilion. The match will be broadcasted by the Pac-12 Networks.
