Season Opener
- Oregon State opens the 2022-23 season Saturday when the Beavers visit Lehigh and participate in the Army Scramble.
- OSU and Lehigh matched up in the 2021-22 season, with the Mountain Hawks taking a 21-12 result at Gill Coliseum.
- Saturday's meet will mark the 12th time OSU and Lehigh will meet on the mat, with the Beavers holding a 7-4 series lead.
- Under Pendleton's direction, the Beavers have split their season openers: a 23-12 win over Campbell last season and a 19-15 setback in his OSU debut to North Dakota State.
- In West Point for the Army Scramble, OSU will compete against Army West Point, LIU and Queens University.
Pendleton Building the Dam
- Chris Pendleton enters his third year as head coach of the Beavers.
- Last season, he was named the Pac-12's Coach of the Year, becoming the second OSU coach to win the honor by his second season in Corvallis.
- Oregon State has upped its win total each season since Pendleton has been in charge.
Beaver Notes
- Oregon State has another challenging slate ahead in 2022-23. The Beavers are scheduled to compete against No. 1 Penn State, No. 5 Arizona State, No. 12 Oklahoma State, No. 25 Cal Poly and No. 26 Lehigh.
- In the projected lineup, four have completed at least 25 bouts as Beavers.
- Three returners – Brandon Kaylor, Trey Munoz and Aaron Olmos – won at least 16 in the 2021-22 season.
