Nov 6, 2022

LIVERPOOL, Great BritainTeam gold. Vault gold. Floor bronze.

Oregon State gymnast Jade Carey leaves Liverpool as the only women's gymnast with a pair of gold medals and added a bronze medal to her collection on Sunday, taking third in the women's floor final to conclude her time at the 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Carey comes home as the only U.S. woman to take individual gold, capturing the vault title a day ago, averaging 14.516 for her first individual gold medal at the World Championships.

For Carey, the pair of individual medals moves her into a tie for fourth with Shawn Johnson, as the most decorated U.S. gymnast in the points system.

The Olympic gold medalist on floor hit her double-twisting double layout, full-twisting double layout and front layout to double back for her third medal of the competition.

Originally scored as a 13.833, Carey's floor routine was lowered to a 13.733, after an inquiry, to place her in a tie with Brazil's Rebeca Andrade for the bronze.

Season tickets to watch Carey and the rest of the GymBeavs are on sale now! With options starting as low as $25, be sure to secure your seat in Gill Coliseum by purchasing your tickets HERE.
