Washington Outlasts San Diego State 3-0 On Senior Day

SEATTLE – The Washington men's soccer team beat San Diego State 3-0 on Sunday afternoon, with all goals coming in the second half of play. The Huskies are now 15-0-3 on the season with a 7-0-2 mark in Pac-12 play.
 
The Huskies celebrated seniors Jayson Baca, Khai Brisco, Sam Fowler, Omar Grey, Jensen Jabara, Lucas Meek, Gio Miglietti, Michael Rojas, Imanol Rosales, Nick Scardina, Christian Soto and Gabe Threadgold in a pregame celebration of each of their contributions to the program over the years.
 
Coming off a Pac-12 championship clinching victory over UCLA Thursday night, the Dawgs remained scoreless with San Diego State through one half of action.  
 
The first goal of the afternoon came from Kalani Kossa-Rienzi off an assist from Rosales and Threadgold.  
 
Nate Jones scored the second goal six minutes later off Rosales' second assist of the afternoon in the 75th minute.  
 
The scoring truly came in bunches for the Huskies when Rosales notched a goal of his own less than two minutes later in the 77th minute off assists from Woody Manum and Richie Aman.  
 
The Dawgs outshot the Aztecs 12-2 with five shots on goal.
