Hugh Adams on Oregon
"The campus looks amazing and it was great to see such a variety of sports. The sporting pedigree and history of the college made me feel Oregon would be an environment in which I could thrive, both personally and in terms of my golf. The golf program has excellent facilities and what I feel is a coaching structure that is designed towards winning, not just competing."
Coach Martin on Hugh Adams
"Hugh has been an accomplished player for a long time in England. The English players are known as some of the best in the world and I believe Hugh can be an elite player. We are excited he wanted to be at Oregon. He has a chance to play as a freshman and will be a big part of our program going forward."

Matthew Broder, San Diego, Calif., Torrey Pines High School
Low Round: 65 (7-under), Southern California PGA, Journey at Pechanga Golf Course
Broder has been one of the top junior performers in Southern California. He helped lead Torrey Pines High School to the 2022 CIF Sectional championship, and runner-up finishes at both the 2022 CIF Regional tournament and California state championship. He finished third in the City Cup for Torrey Pines. Broder has amassed junior victories in a number of tournaments, including the Phil Mickelson Invitational, the FIG Washington Championship, the World Stars of TP Golf Championship and the PGA Junior League National Championship. Broder was also second at the 2021 IMG World Championship. An excellent student, Broder has a 3.94 high school grade point average and was a spelling bee finalist in middle school.
Matthew Broder on Oregon
"All the athletic facilities are world-class and everyone has great school spirit. The academic support and facilities for student-athletes are great at well. The coaches are amazing and the golf courses are also world-class."
Coach Martin on Matthew Broder
"I watched Matthew a few years ago at Junior Worlds in San Diego when he finished second. He has a ton of potential. He is tall and a good athlete and hits it a long way. He has a great work ethic and is an amazing student. He also has a chance to play early and really help us."
