Ducks Pen Eight in Class of 2023

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon lacrosse head coach Chelsea Hoffmann unveiled the eight members joining the Ducks for the 2023-2024 season.
 
"We are thrilled to welcome our '23 class to the University of Oregon!" Hoffmann said. "This group brings strength and versatility to the flock - welcoming eight new additions from seven different regions. We are excited for their contributions and future impact on Eugene!"
 
Seven of the newest Ducks will arrive in Eugene from 6 different states, including Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Virginia. At the same time, the final member of the class hails from Ontario, continuing a strong tradition of Ducks from Canada.
 
Carly Coopman
Defender | Roswell, Ga. | Blessed Trinity Catholic HS

  • Led Blessed Trinity Catholic High School to back-to-back Georgia 5A state championships in 2021 and 2022
  • Helped club team, Eagle Stix Blue, to multiple wins at the SAT 2022 tournament in Georgia
  • Aided Eagle Stix Blue to several victories at the Southern Lacrosse Showdown in 2021

McKenna Cunnington
Midfielder | Mahtomedi, Minn. | Mahtomedi HS

  • Picked as a first team all-section and all-conference performer after scoring 55 goals and notching 15 assists as a junior at Mahtomedi High School
  • Guided club team, Lacrosse Monkey, to championship victories at Sin City Showdown and the Mid America Invitational during the 2021 club season
  • Selected to the Midwest roster for the American Select Main Event in 2021 

Lyla Hurley
Attacker | Larchmont, N.Y. | Mamaroneck HS

  • Tabbed twice as an All-America Senior Game watch list member
  • Helped Mamaroneck High School reach back-to-back Section 1 finals in 2021 and 2022
  • Earned all-league honors and Section I honorable mention at Mamaroneck HS

CC Jacobs
Midfielder | Fairfax, Va. | St. Stephens and St. Agnes School

  • Aided St. Stephens and St. Agnes School to a 2022 ISL Conference Championship
  • Assisted St. Stephens and St. Agnes to reaching a top 25 national prep ranking during the 2022 season
  • A three-sport athlete and varsity captain in lacrosse, volleyball and swimming and diving, capturing all-conference honors and an ISL championship in volleyball

Lexi Jenkins
Midfielder | Peterborough, Ontario | Crestwood Secondary School

  • Captained Team Ontario U18 squad against Team USA U18s during the 2022 Brogden Cup
  • Captured the 2022 Field Lacrosse National Championship with the Ontario U18 team
  • Noted as a two-time Under Armour 150 selection in 2020 and 2021

Caelan Jones
Goalie | Sterling, Va. | Dominion HS

  • Anchored two consecutive Virginia 4A state championship teams in 2021 and 2022, setting the school record for save percentage during the 2021 campaign
  • Named a 4A First Team all-state goalie and a 2nd Team All-Metropolitan selection by the Washington Post in 2022
  • Chosen as an Under Armour All-American (Washington D.C.) and Under Armour All-America Super South all-star in 2020

Gabby Santucci
Midfielder | Leominster, Mass. | Leominster HS

  • Registered team-highs in goals and points each of the past two seasons, totaling 117 goals and 167 points in that span
  • Designated a member of the Under Armour New England Highlight Team in 2022
  • Selected to the 2022 National Cup All-Star Game

Avery Young
Midfielder | Jefferson, N.J. | Jefferson Township HS

  • Led Jefferson Township High School in goals and points in 2021 and 2022, tallying 125 goals and 52 assists for 177 career points in addition to 98 ground balls, 106 draw controls and 17 caused turnovers over the two seasons
  • Picked as a two-time Colonial Conference First-Team selection in addition to third-team and second-team All-Morris County selections in 2021 and 2022 respectively
  • Guided both the Jefferson Township HS 2022 lacrosse and field hockey teams to Colonial Conference titles as the team captain and points leader
