Postgame Notes - Arizona vs. CSUN

Notes following Arizona's 87-47 win over CSUN:

-With the win, the Wildcats had at least five double-digit scorers for the second game in a row. Esmery Martinez, Cate Reese, Jade Loville and Kailyn Gilbert all scored at least 10 points in each of Arizona's first two games.

-Every Wildcat who played against the Matadors grabbed at least one rebound. Esmery Martinez led with five, and eight Arizona players had at least three.

-Arizona held CSUN to 17 points in the first half. The last time an Arizona opponent did not score at least 20 points in the first half was when the Wildcats held Washington to seven points on Feb. 18, 2022.

-The squad stole the ball 16 times.

-Arizona's defense held the CSUN offense to just six points in the first quarter and 17 points in the first half.

-The Wildcats forced 24 turnovers, capitalizing with 28 points off turnovers.

-Sixteen of CSUN's turnovers were steals by the Wildcats. Lemyah Hylton led with four while Kailyn Gilbert grabbed three.

-Esmery Martinez is the only player who ranks in the top four in the Pac-12 in field goal percentage (85.7%, first), points per game (17.5 ppg, fourth) and rebounds per game (10.0, third).

-Cate Reese shot 5-of-6 to total 14 points alongside four rebounds.

-Maya Nnaji produced an impressive stat line in her first game with 14 points, four rebounds and three blocks.

-Helena Pueyo got her first start of the season against CSUN, adding three points, three assists, three rebounds and a steal to Arizona's stat sheet.

-Between the Wildcats' first two games, Esmery Martinez averaged 17.5 points per game and 10.0 rebounds.
