Women’s Basketball Ranked in AP and Coaches Poll

SALT LAKE CITY – With a 3-0 start to open the 2022-23 season, the University of Utah's women's basketball team jumped into the AP Top 25 in the first regular-season poll and ranked in the Top 25 of the USA Today Coaches Top 25.. The Utes came in at No. 25 in the AP poll, the first time since Feb. 4, 2019, that the Utes have been ranked and No. 24 in the coaches poll. 
 
Over the first three games of the season, Utah is averaging 94.7 points per game, the ninth-best mark in the nation. Utah has hit 32 three-pointers and is averaging 10.7 made three-pointers per game. The 10.7 made threes are the 14th best mark in the country.

click here. Utah is one of four Pac-12 teams in the first regular-season edition of the AP Top 25. 
 
The Utes are coming off a 99-62 victory over Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday night. The Utes hit 17 threes during the contest, the second most in school history. Last year, Utah hit 19 threes to open the season against Lipscomb. In the game against the Lady Lions, Utah assisted on 29 of 35 made field goals in the win. 

In Utah's first game of the season, Alissa Pili made her Utah debut and scored 27 points. The 27 points are the sixth most by a player in their first game with a team in the Pac-12 since 1999-00.

Utah returns to action on Wednesday evening when they host No. 16 Oklahoma at the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
