Card Downs Devils in Four

STANFORD, Calif. – Winning its 15th consecutive match, No. 8 Stanford defeated Arizona State, 25-22, 25-11, 22-25, 25-14, Thursday, at Maples Pavilion.

Stanford improves to 21-4 overall and 16-1 in the Pac-12. The Cardinal is one win away from clinching at least a share of its 20th Pac-12 title.

Opposite Kendall Kipp led all players with 21 kills on a .314 attack percentage, six digs and three blocks. Freshman outside hitter Elia Rubin turned in her fourth double-double of the season with 18 kills on .300 hitting and 12 digs.
 

Stanford hit .303 as a team, while holding Arizona State (11-18, 5-12 Pac-12). The Cardinal racked up a season-high 68 digs to go with 11.0 blocks and seven aces.

Setter Kami Miner registered her team-best ninth double-double of the year with 41 assists and a season-best 17 digs. She also notched three kills, two solo blocks and had a career-high five aces. Libero Elena Oglivie anchored the defense with a season-best 24 digs to go with seven assists and an ace.
 

Middle blocker McKenna Vicini matched her career-high with 10 kills on 14 swings to hit .714 and tallied three blocks. Outside hitter Caitie Baird finished with five kills, four digs, three blocks and an ace. Junior Annabelle Smith added five blocks and two kills, while defensive specialist Taylor Beaven collected four digs.
 

Arizona State was led by opposite Marta Levinska's 15 kills and eight digs. Outside hitter Iman Isanovic finished with 12 kills and three digs.

Stanford closes out the week on Saturday versus Arizona. The match is slated for Noon on Pac-12 Los Angeles.
