QUICKLY: Three Beaver freshmen scored in double-figures Friday vs. Florida, as Jordan Pope, Tyler Bilodeau and Michael Rataj all went over 10 points. It marked the first time the Beavers have had three freshmen in double-figures since JaQuori McLaughlin, Ben Kone and Kendal Manuel did so vs. USC on Feb. 9, 2017 ... Pope, Bilodeau and Rataj are all amongst the top-12 freshmen in the Pac-12 in points per game ... Oregon State is taking on Portland State for the second time in an eight-day span ...  Glenn Taylor Jr. put up 25 points in the Beavers' last game against the Vikings, converting on 13 of 15 free throw attempts in that contest ... The Beavers battled Duke to the wire in its first game of the PKL event, holding the Blue Devils to 26.7 percent shooting in the contest ... THE ROSTER: Oregon State brings in a new-look roster into the 2022-23 season.
- Oregon State returns four players from last season's squad: Rodrigue Andela, Dexter Akanno, Chol Marial and Glenn Taylor Jr. Of those only Taylor Jr. and Akanno played significant minutes in 2021-22, as Marial missed the entire season due to NCAA eligibility rules stemming from his transfer from Maryland and Andela played in just seven games due to injury
- The Beavers welcome 11 newcomers to this year's team, eight of which are true freshmen.
- Three OSU players join the squad as transfers - Dzmitry Ryuny (San Francisco), Christian Wright (Georgia) and Justin Rochelin (Arizona State)
- The Oregon State squad features representatives from six different countries. In addition to the team's nine Americans, the group also includes athletes from Cameroon (Rodrigue Andela), Canada (KC Ibekwe), South Sudan (Chol Marial), Germany (Michael Rataj) and Belarus (Dzmitry Ryuny).

THE TEAM: Here are some quick-hitters about the 2022-23 Oregon State men's basketball team:
- Oregon State has shot 50 percent from the floor or better in four of its last 12 games.
- The Beavers opened the season with a 73-70 win over Tulsa, overcoming a 19-point deficit to take the win. OSU came back from 16 down at the break, the largest such comeback since Oregon State erased a 19-point lead against UNLV in 2005.
- OSU held its opponents to 69.6 points per contest during the month of November last season.
- Oregon State has held opponents to 69.3 points per game during the Wayne Tinkle era, and 67.5 points per contest at Gill Coliseum over that span.
