Pac-12 Football Championship Game, presented by 76®, takes center stage on FOX

SAN FRANCISCO – The 2022 Pac-12 Football Championship Game, presented by 76®, takes center stage this week, with No. 4 USC squaring off against the defending Pac-12 champions, No. 11 Utah, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Friday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. MT on FOX. “Pac-12 Football Championship Game Pregame Show,” presented by Allegiant, begins at 3:30 p.m .PT / 4:30 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Network and “Big Noon Kickoff” on FOX at 4 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. MT. 

On the call for the game telecast will be Jason Benetti, Brock Huard, and Allison Williams. The matchup can also be heard nationally on ESPN Radio with broadcasters Marc Kestecher, Kelly Stouffer, and Ian Fitzsimmons. 

“Big Noon Kickoff,” FOX’s premiere pregame program will take place from the field at Allegiant Stadium. Host Mike Hill is joined at the desk by USC legends Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart, as well as Brady Quinn and Urban Meyer, as the group breaks down everything to watch ahead of the showdown between the Trojans and Utes. 

“The Pregame,” Pac-12 Networks signature gameday coverage, will also take place from the field as host Ashley Adamson is joined by Nick Aliotti, Nigel Burton, and Yogi Roth and other guests ahead of kickoff. The 90-minute pregame show will hit on all of the latest news from around Pac-12 football leading up to the league’s title game. 

Postgame coverage on FOX will include the live presentation of the championship trophy and most valuable player award, before an hour long of wrap-up coverage on Pac-12 Network. 

No. 4 USC Trojans look for a Pac-12 title and more

The Trojans enter the matchup 11-1 on the year and 8-1 in Pac-12 play in head coach Lincoln Riley’s first year at the helm of the program. USC quarterback and Heisman Trophy front-runner Caleb Williams has already amassed a program-record 44 total touchdowns this season and is coming off a performance against then-No. 15 Notre Dame that saw him rush for three scores and complete 18-of-22 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown.

No. 11 Utah Utes look to defend their Pac-12 title 

The 9-3 (7-2) Utes arrive in Vegas for their fourth appearance in the Pac-12 title game in the last five years and look to defend their 2021 championship. The championship game is a rematch of a blockbuster regular season matchup from earlier this season. Utah notched a 43-42 victory at home over the Trojans behind a game-winning two-point conversion from Cameron Rising with 48 seconds to play. Rising had a monster performance, racking up 415 yards and two touchdown passes, as well as a trio of rushing scores in the win. Williams was also sensational, throwing for 381 yards and five touchdowns.
