Washington's Rome Odunze and Devin Culp have both been named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the CSC has announced.
The team, formerly known CoSIDA Academic All-District, has undergone several changes in 2022, most notably that student-athletes must have a grade point average or 3.50 or better. They must also have one full year of residence with their current program and be a starter or significant contributor.
Odunze, a wide receiver from Las Vegas, and Culp, a tight end from Spokane, Wash., are both regular starters for the No. 9-ranked Huskies.
Odunze has 70 catches for 1,088 yards and seven touchdowns. Last week at Washington State, he became just the eighth Husky ever to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a season. He is a communications major with. 3.68 cumulative GPA through the most recently complete academic quarter.
Culp is an economics major with a 3.50 GPA. On the field in 2022, he has caught 25 passes for 287 yards and a touchdown.
Both are now eligible to earn a spot on the Academic All-America team, which will be released next week.
