KANSAS CITY – A pair of Buffaloes earned United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region honors the association announced on Wednesday. Civana Kuhlmann and Juliauna Hayward were selected as First Team and Third Team honorees
It is the second postseason honor for both Kuhlmann and Hayward. Kuhlmann was picked First Team All-Pac-12, while Hayward was an All-Freshman selection.
Kuhlmann wrapped up her only season in Boulder with career numbers. The Centennial, Colo., native, and Stanford transfer, put a bow on her season with her 12th goal of the season in CU's season-finale against Utah. Her 12 goals tied for the second-most in a season by a Buff, alongside Taylor Kornieck (2019), Jorian Baucom (2018 and Katie Griffin (2005). Kuhlmann also handed out a career-high six assists this season to finish with a career-best 30 points. The 30 points currently rank 15th in the NCAA and tie her with Kornieck (2019) and Baucom (2018) for the second most in a season in program history.
Hayward played in 14 matches this season, missing the final six due to injury. The Broomfield, Colo., native started all 14 matches in her first season and finished sixth on the team with eight points (2 G, 4 A). Hayward picked up her first goal in CU's first match of the season, helping the Buffs to a 5-0 win over Weber State. She had a streak of three straight matches with an assist and blasted a rocket of a goal against Arizona State.
