Fifteen Ducks Earn All-Pac-12 Recognition

EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon football team was well-represented on the Pac-12 all-conference teams released on Tuesday afternoon with three players on the first team, three on the second team and nine receiving honorable mention.
 
Defensive back Christian Gonzalez and offensive linemen T.J. Bass and Alex Forsyth were selected to the first team by the conference's coaches. Bass is on the first team for the second year in a row, and he and Forsyth make Oregon one of two teams (Utah) with multiple first-team offensive linemen. Forsyth is on the first team for the first time after landing on the second team each of the last two seasons, and Gonzalez earned first-team honors after being an honorable mention selection last year at Colorado.
 
Defensive end Brandon Dorlus, linebacker Noah Sewell and wide receiver Troy Franklin represent the Ducks on the all-Pac-12 second team. It is the third career all-conference honor for Sewell, second for Dorlus and first for Franklin.
 
Oregon's nine players receiving honorable mention recognition are quarterback Bo Nix, running back Bucky Irving, tight end Terrance Ferguson, wide receiver Chase Cota, offensive linemen Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu and Ryan Walk, defensive end DJ Johnson, defensive back Bennett Williams and kicker Camden Lewis.

OL T.J. Bass – Pac-12 All-Conference First Team
» Started all 12 games at left tackle, playing 828 snaps.
» Key part of an Oregon offensive line that leads the nation with just four sacks allowed.
» 78.8 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, 10th among Pac-12 offensive linemen.
» 78.9 run-blocking grade from PFF ranks eighth in the Pac-12, and fourth among tackles.

OL Alex Forsyth – Pac-12 All-Conference First Team
» Started 11 games at center, playing 761 snaps.
» Key part of an Oregon offensive line that leads the nation with just four sacks allowed.
» 85.0 pass-blocking grade from PFF ranks fourth in the Pac-12 and 26th nationally.
» Allowed zero sacks and just one pressure in 365 pass-blocking opportunities, according to PFF.
» Helped UO rush for 216.33 yards per game, 14th-best in the nation.
» UO is tied for No. 9 nationally with just 48 tackles for loss allowed.
» Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week after Oregon's win over No. 9 UCLA.
» Third career all-conference honor, and first time on the first team.
 
DB Christian Gonzalez – Pac-12 All-Conference First Team
» Started all 12 games in the secondary, leading the defense with 718 snaps played.
» Leads Oregon with four interceptions, third-most in the Pac-12.
» Tied for fifth in the Pac-12 with 11 passes defended, and tied for ninth with seven passes broken up.
» First career multi-interception game in Oregon's win at Colorado, his former school.
» Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Colorado.
» Fourth on the team with 50 tackles; career-high 10 tackles vs. Washington.
» 81.0 overall grade from PFF ranks fourth among Pac-12 cornerbacks.
» 83.0 tackling grade from PFF ranks 22nd among FBS cornerbacks.

 
DE Brandon Dorlus – Pac-12 All-Conference Second Team
» Started all 12 games while playing 590 total snaps.
» Leads Oregon with 9.0 tackles for loss, tied for No. 10 in the Pac-12.
» Second among Ducks in sacks (2.5) while making 34 total tackles.
» Credited by PFF with 35 QB hurries, eighth-most among all FBS defenders.
» 72.7 overall grade from PFF ranks sixth among Pac-12 edge defenders.
» Career-high 2.0 sacks and 3.0 TFLs in win over Stanford.
» Two-time Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week.
 
WR Troy Franklin – Pac-12 All-Conference Second Team
» Started all 12 games while leading Oregon with 56 receptions for 867 yards and eight touchdowns.
» Eight receiving touchdowns tied for the most in the Pac-12.
» No. 8 in the Pac-12 in receiving yards and 11th in receptions.
» No. 6 nationally with 442 receiving yards between the 40-yard lines.
» Three 100-yard receiving games, including a career-high 139 yards vs. Washington.
» Career-high 10 catches for 84 yards and a TD against Eastern Washington.
» Tied for Pac-12 lead with five receptions of 40-plus yards.
 
LB Noah Sewell – Pac-12 All-Conference Second Team
» Third straight year receiving all-conference honors.
» Tied for second among Ducks with 56 tackles and third in both sacks (1.5) and TFLs (5.5).
» First career interception in Oregon's win vs. Utah.
» Became the first UO full-time defensive player since at least 1996 to rush for a TD in Oregon's win at Colorado.
» Career-high 2.5 TFLs and a season-high nine tackles in UO's win at Washington State.
» Butkus Award semifinalist for the second season in a row.

 
OL Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu – Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention
» Started all 12 games at right tackle, playing a team-high 836 snaps.
» Key part of an Oregon offensive line that leads the nation with just four sacks allowed.
» Top 20 in the Pac-12 in overall grade (77.3), run-blocking grade (76.4) and pass-blocking grade (78.3) from PFF.  
» Helped UO rush for 216.33 yards per game, 14th-best in the nation.
» UO is tied for No. 9 nationally with just 48 tackles for loss allowed.
» Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week after Oregon's win at California.
 
WR Chase Cota – Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention
» Played in nine of 12 games, catching 33 passes for 455 yards and two touchdowns.
» Career-high nine catches for 136 yards and a touchdown vs. Oregon State.
» Multiple receptions in eight of nine games played.
» Caught 10 passes of 20-plus yards, three of 30-plus yards and two of 40-plus yards.
» Finishes collegiate career with 100 catches for 1,338 yards and eight touchdowns.
 
TE Terrance Ferguson – Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention
» Played in all 12 games, making five starts.  
» 27 receptions for 307 yards and five touchdowns.
» Two touchdowns against both Eastern Washington and BYU.
» First UO tight end since 2019 with multiple TDs in back-to-back games.
» Tied for fifth in the nation with 12 red-zone receptions.
» Five TD catches are tied for second-most among Pac-12 tight ends.
 
RB Bucky Irving – Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention
» Played in all 12 games, ranking fourth in the Pac-12 with 909 rushing yards.
» Fourth in the conference with 6.36 yards per carry.
» Rushed for three touchdowns and added three receiving touchdowns (30 receptions, 300 yards).
» Three receiving TDs are tied for second-most among all FBS running backs.
» Three 100-yard rushing games, including a career-high 149 yards vs. Washington.
» 90.9 rushing grade from PFF is tied for 11th among all FBS running backs.
 
DE DJ Johnson – Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention
» Led Oregon with 6.0 sacks, fifth-most in the Pac-12.
» Second among Ducks with 8.5 TFLs while making 39 total tackles.
» At least half a sack in eight of 11 games played, with two multi-sack performances.
» Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week after notching two sacks at California.
 
K Camden Lewis – Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention
» 14-of-15 on field goals while going perfect on extra-point attempts.
» 4-of-4 on field goals of 40-plus yards, including a season-long 44-yarder vs. UCLA.
» Made two field goals in each of the final three games, including a 41-yarder vs. Utah that proved to be the game winner.
» Lone missed field goal was a lengthy 54-yard attempt into the wind.
 
QB Bo Nix – Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention
» Tied for third among all FBS players with 42 total touchdowns (27 passing, 14 rushing, 1 receiving).
» One of just 12 players since 2000 to have at least 27 passing TDs and 14 rushing TDs in a season.
» 271-of-379 passing for 3,388 yards and 27 touchdowns.
» Rushed 84 times for 504 yards and 14 touchdowns, most among FBS quarterbacks.
» 14 rushing TDs are the second-most in a season by an Oregon quarterback.
» Second in the nation with a 71.5 completion percentage.
» No. 3 in the FBS with 8.41 total yards per play, and No. 8 with 324.3 total yards per game.
» Three games with 300-plus passing yards and two with 400-plus, including a career-high 428 vs. Washington State.
» Career-high five passing TDs vs. both Eastern Washington and BYU.
» Just the second FBS player since at least 1996 with two passing TDs, two rushing TDs and a receiving TD in the same game (at Colorado).

OL Ryan Walk – Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention
» Started 11 of 12 games – eight at right guard, two at left guard and one at center.
» Played 573 offensive snaps – 282 at right guard, 198 at left guard, 82 at center and 11 at right tackle.
» Key part of an Oregon offensive line that leads the nation with just four sacks allowed.
» Allowed zero sacks and just nine total pressures in 290 pass-blocking opportunities, according to PFF.
» Helped UO rush for 216.33 yards per game, 14th-best in the nation.
» UO is tied for No. 9 nationally with just 48 tackles for loss allowed.
 
DB Bennett Williams – Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention
» Started all 12 games while ranking second on the defense with 715 snaps played.
» Leads Oregon with 67 total tackles, including a team-high 45 solo.
» Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week after making 14 tackles with two interceptions in win over Utah.
» Second career multi-interception game, giving him eight picks in his career.
» 14 tackles vs. Utah tied a career-high and are the most by a Duck this season.
» 83.2 run-defense grade from PFF leads all Pac-12 defensive backs.
