Seven Wildcats Earn 2022 All-Pac-12 Performance Awards

TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona football has seven student-athletes selected to 2022 All-Pac-12 Team. Wide receiver Dorian Singer was selected to the Second Team. Jacob Cowing, Jordan Morgan, Jonah Savaiinaea, Jayden de Laura, Michael Wiley, and Tyler Loop were selected Honorable Mention as announced by the conference office today.
 
The Second-Team All-Pac-12 selection for Dorian Singer marks the first honor of his career. Jacob Cowing, Jordan Morgan, Jonah Savaiinaea, Tyler Loop, Jayden de Laura, and Michael Wiley also earn Pac-12 Honorable Mention for the first time since joining the Wildcats. The All-Pac-12 selections are decided in a vote by conference head coaches.
 
Singer led the Wildcats with a career-high 1,105 receiving yards and was third on the team with six touchdown catches. He became the eighth Arizona player in program history to record 1,000 yards in a single season. Singer's 1,105 receiving yards are the fifth-most in Arizona single-season history. It is the first All-Pac-12 honor of his career.
 
Cowing was second on the team with 1,034 receiving yards, marking the seventh-most in a single season in Arizona history. He was second on the team and in the Pac-12 with seven receiving touchdowns. In just his first season, he led the Pac-12 in receptions (85), was fourth in receiving yards (1,034), and fifth in yards per game (86.2) in the conference.
 
Morgan helped guide an offensive line that set the tone for the 22nd nationally-ranked offense, averaging 461.9 yards per game and 30.8 points per game. Arizona's passing offense was one of the most prolific in the nation, sitting 8th in the country while passing for 318.4 yards per matchup. Morgan was the top-rated blocker on the Wildcats with an 82.8 offensive rating per Pro Football Focus. He played in 10 games and appeared on 670 total snaps while allowing one sack.
 
Savaiinaea led all freshman in blocking on the offensive line. Started all 12 games and posted the second-best rating on the team (63.4) following 741 snaps. In just his first season, he created time for the offense to lead the nation in explosive play percentage.
 
De Laura followed up his Pac-12 Freshman of the Year campaign with a stellar season in Arizona. He threw for 3,685 yards which is tied for the third most in a single season in program history. De Laura passed for 25 touchdowns marking the sixth-most in program history. De Laura finished third in the Pac-12 in passing yards per game (307.1) and tied for third in passing touchdowns. He led the nation's 8th-ranked passing attack and 22nd-ranked total offense.

Loop earns his first all-conference nod after finishing 18-of-21 on field goals during the season. He booted a career-long of 48 yards against Washington and finished perfect on extra-point attempts (38-38). Loop is perfect from inside 39 yards during his career, making 24-of-24 on field goals. He scored a career-high 92 points in his first full season as the primary kicker.

Wiley earned his first All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention honor after rushing for a career-high 771 yards on a career-high 113 carries for a career-high eight touchdowns. He rushed for the second-most yards in the Territorial Cup (214) and tied for the most rushing touchdowns with three in the game. Wiley became the first Arizona running back to rush for over 700 yards since JJ Taylor (721) in 2019.

The Pac-12 has announced the 2022 Football Performance Awards, presented by Nextiva, as well as its annual All-Conference honors and yearly recognitions as voted by the league's 12 coaches.  First team honors were led by five players each from OREGON STATE and USC including Heisman Trophy finalist Caleb Williams as the first team quarterback.  Across the first and second teams, Oregon State led with nine players, one more than both USC and WASHINGTON with eight each.
