SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 announced its 11th weekly honors of the 2022-23 men's basketball season as presented by Nextiva and voted on by media who cover the league.
Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week, presented by Nextiva (1/23/23)
Branden Carlson, UTAH

- Averaged 26.5 points on scorching 72 percent shooting (21-29) along with 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals to lead Utah to home sweep of Washington schools.
- Best outing as a collegian with career-high 28 points on 11-of-12 shooting (3-4 3FG, 3-3 FT) along with eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 77-63 victory over Washington State.
- Performance against the Cougars was only the Conference's eighth of 28+ points, 10+ field goals and 90%+ shooting since 1996-97 (Todd MacCulloch 2x, Jason Collins, Bryce Taylor, Quincy Pondexter, Jamal Bey, Christian Koloko).
- Followed with 25 points on 10-of-17 from the floor, eight boards, three steals and three blocks in 86-61 rout of Washington.
- First Utah player since Andrew Bogut in 2004-05 to register consecutive 25-point games.
- First career Player of the Week honor, second Pac-12 weekly award (Freshman of the Week, 2/10/20).

- Averaged 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists (against zero turnovers) in Oregon State's split in the Bay Area.
- Netted his Conference-game season high with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting in 68-48 win at California, helping Beavers end a 25-game skid away from home.
- Leads all Pac-12 freshmen in scoring (12.4 ppg), assists (2.8 apg), minutes (33.3 mpg), threes made (35) and FT percentage (83.3%).
- Second Freshman of the Week honor of season (11/14/22).
