SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 announced its 12th weekly honors of the 2022-23 men's basketball season as presented by Nextiva and voted on by media who cover the league.
Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week, presented by Nextiva (1/30/23)
Boogie Ellis, USC
Sr., G, San Diego, Calif.
- Scored a career-high 31 points to lead USC to a 77-64 storm-back victory over No. 8 UCLA for the Trojans' first top-10 win since 2017.
- Alone matched UCLA's second-half output, erupting for 27 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor (3-4 3FG) and perfect 10-of-10 at the line as USC turned a 37-25 halftime deficit into as much as a 15-point lead.
- Added six assists against zero turnovers, four rebounds, a steal and a block against the rival Bruins.
- 31 points were the most scored by a Trojan since Nov. 2019, and most by a USC player in the rivalry series since Sam Clancy's 31 in 2001.
- First career Player of the Week honor, second career weekly award (AAC Freshman of the Week, 12/2/19).

- Second consecutive and league-leading third Freshman of the Week honor of season (11/14/22, 1/23/23).
- Averaged 15.0 points to help Oregon State split week with Mountain schools.
- Went for Conference-game high 19 points for the second time in three games, including 17 in the second half, in 60-52 victory over Colorado.
- Caught fire with five 3-pointers in a span of 6:26 (13:28-7:02) as part of second-half outburst against the Buffaloes.
- Opened week with team-best 11 points against Utah; has scored in double figures in 15-of-22 games.
