CORVALLIS, Ore. – Seven Oregon State players have made the Major League Baseball Opening Day rosters when the 2023 season got underway Thursday.
Adley Rutschman had a notable opening day, his first, when he went 5-for-5 with a home run.

Rutschman, with the Baltimore Orioles, is joined by left-handed pitcher Matthew Boyd (Detroit Tigers), right-handed pitcher Drew Rasmussen (Tampa Bay Rays), outfielders Steven Kwan (Cleveland Guardians), Michael Conforto (San Francisco Giants) and Trevor Larnach (Minnesota Twins), infielder Nick Madrigal (Chicago Cubs).
