Conference championship season continues this weekend with postseason track & field and rowing coverage on Pac-12 Networks

Pac-12 Networks’ three-day coverage of Pac-12 Track & Championships opens on Friday, May 12, with coverage of Pac-12 Rowing Championships slated for Sunday, May 14
 

SAN FRANCISCO – Action-packed coverage of spring championship season continues on Pac-12 Networks this weekend with broadcasts of the Pac-12 Track & Field Championships at Mt. San Antonio College (MT. SAC) in Walnut, Calif., and the Pac-12 Rowing Championships at Dexter Lake in Lowell, Ore. 

The three-day track & field meet opens on Friday, May 12, with various single-event live streams and broadcasts taking place throughout the weekend before an extended live show of finals on Sunday. Pac-12 Networks’ complete coverage of the rowing championships is scheduled for Sunday, May 14.

Programming Highlights – 2023 Pac-12 Track & Field Championships

  • Pac-12 Networks’ coverage opens with the men’s hammer competition at 1:30 p.m. PT / 2:30 p.m. MT on Friday, May 12. Champion teams will be crowned on Sunday’s broadcast, scheduled to open at 1 p.m. PT / 2 p.m. MT with the men’s 4x100m relay final.  
  • Oregon secured team victories on the men’s and women’s sides at the 2022 Pac-12 Meet. Oregon’s men’s squad has rattled off 15-straight team titles dating back to 2007. 
  • Six Pac-12 women’s programs enter the championship meet in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rankings, including four in the top 15: No. 4 Oregon, No. 5 USC, No. 14 Utah, No. 15 Oregon State, No. 17 Stanford, and No. 24 Washington
  • The Pac-12 also features six men’s programs in the top 25: No. 10 Washington, No. 13 Arizona State, No. 17 Stanford, No. 19 USC, No. 20 California, and No. 25 Arizona.
  • Jim Watson and Jordan Kent will lead Pac-12 Networks’ broadcast coverage throughout the weekend at Mt. SAC. 

Programming Highlights – 2023 Pac-12 Rowing Championships

  • Coverage of all 10 rowing events will air on Pac-12 Network and the Pac-12 Now app, beginning with the women’s Novice 8 race at 9 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. MT. 
  • The Golden Bears won the Pac-12 Men’s Rowing title in 2022, breaking Washington’s streak of four-straight titles dating back to 2017. Stanford won its second-ever women’s title in 2022 and first since 2014.  
  • Cal leads the way for the Pac-12 in the IRCA/IRA Men’s Heavyweight Varsity 8 Poll as the No. 1 team in the nation. No. 3 Washington and No. 8 Stanford also earned top positions in the poll. 
  • The Pocock/CRCA Coaches Poll features four Pac-12 teams on the women’s side: No. 4 Stanford, No. 6 Washington, No. 7 Cal, No. 19 Oregon State.
  • Pac-12 Networks’ Guy Haberman and Steve Todd will be on the broadcast call on Sunday.
