Ducks Sign Kario Oquendo

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon men's basketball has announced the signing of transfer Kario Oquendo.
 
Oquendo spent the last two seasons at Georgia, amassing 14.0 points (42.6 FG%) and 3.5 rebounds in 27.5 minutes per game. The six-foot-four guard started 59 of 60 games, recording 14 20-point games and 43 double-digit scoring outings. He scored a career-high 33 points vs. Texas A&M, netting six three pointers.
 
As a sophomore in 2021-22, Oquendo averaged 18.3 points per game in SEC play and ranked seventh in the conference with a 45.3 field goal percentage. Oquendo began his career at Florida Southwestern, tallying 13.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 22.2 minutes. The first-team All-Southern Conference honoree shot 55.4 percent from the field and 40.3 percent from distance.
 
The Titusville, Fla. native attended Astronaut High School and was the 2019 Brevard County 5A Player of the year and scored over 1,000 career points.
