STANFORD, Calif. - Freshman Malcolm Moore has been tabbed a Freshman All-American according to Collegiate Baseball, it was announced on Wednesday.
Moore, the 2023 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, was selected as one of six catchers on the list. The native of Sacramento, Calif. is one of three Pac-12 freshmen on the team, joined by Arizona's Mason White and USC's Austin Overn.
Moore has batted .307 with 46 runs scored, 18 doubles, 14 homers and 57 RBIs while compiling 21 multi-hit games and 16 multi-RBI contests.
A Pac-12 honorable mention selection this year, Moore has started all 59 games for the Cardinal as a freshman - 50 behind the plate and nine at designated hitter.
