BAKERS DOZEN: Pac-12 schools won all 12 of their games in Week One and, along with USC’s win in Week Zero, are a combined 13-0 so far this season with 8 of the 13 wins by 20+ points.  It’s the most wins without a loss by any FBS conference through Week One since at least 1980 according to STATS Perform.  It’s also the first time since 1932 that every Pac-12 school won its season opener, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

This week, Pac-12 schools will face off with seven non-conference games against Power 5 opponents.  According to the AP, that’s the fifth time since 2013 that a Power 5 conference has played that many non-conference games against other Power 5 schools.

TRULY OFFENSIVE:  The Pac-12 leads all FBS conferences in PPG (46.5), total YPG (513.2), and scrimmage yards per touch (8.8).  According to SportsSource Analytics, Pac-12 schools have scored on 57% of their drives and only had turnovers on 9.8% of their drives, both tops in FBS.

In the eight games on Saturday, Pac-12 schools scored 52.6 PPG which according to STATS Perform is the only time in the last 40 years that any FBS conference has had its teams average 50.0+ PPG in a single day (minimum eight teams in action).

QB CENTRAL:  At the forefront of those offenses is highly skilled quarterback play, with a combined 72.7 completion percentage, 9.68 yards per attempt and 13.32 yards per completion which were all tops in FBS with 43 pass TD to five interceptions.

  • Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders threw for a school-record 510 pass yards at then No. 17 TCU, which is the most by a Pac-12 QB ever in their FBS debut.

  • Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. had 450 pass yards and five pass TD against Boise State, giving him three of the four highest passing yards in a game in UW history.  Penix Jr. had 11 completions of 20+ yards last week tying him for the most total this season with USC’s Caleb Williams who has 11 overt two games.

  • Williams meanwhile has nine passing TD in those two games, giving him 4+ pass TD in seven of his 16 games with the Trojans.

  • Washington State’s Cameron Ward racked up 451 passing yards against Colorado State, his most in a Cougars uniform and the most by a WSU QB since 2019.

  • Oregon’s Bo Nix completed 23-27 (85.2%) for 287 yards and three scores in just over a half of play as the Ducks put up the school’s modern day record of 81 points and their largest margin of victory (+74) since 1916.

  • Oregon State’s DJ Uiagalelei impressed in his debut after transferring from Clemson, becoming the first Beavers QB since at least 1996 to throw for three TD and run for two more in the same game.

  • Jaden Rashada had 236 passing yards as he became the second Sun Devil true freshman to start a season opener, while at UCLA true freshman Dante Moore impressed off the bench going for 20.4 yards per completion and two scores on just 12 attempts.

  • Cal’s Ben Finley replaced the injured Sam Jackson V and racked up 279 passing yards as the Golden Bears put up the most points (58) and total yards (669) of the Justin Wilcox era.
